Donkey Konga is a very fun rhythm game starring Donkey Kong!

This is played with two bonga drums. 

The player must beat the drums and clap to the rhythm of the music. Horizontal passing symbols indicate what needs to be done. When one performs the action at the right time, the life meter fills up and coins are earned, these can be used to unlock other things. Earning many coins in the game allows unlocking more difficult songs, mini-games can be played or the standard bongo sounds are exchanged for other sounds, such as farm sounds.

In beginner (Monkey) mode, the symbols are placed far apart. In more difficult modes (Chimp and Gorilla) there are more symbols, more often in bunches, and one must listen more carefully to the music.
